Wa Wu We is the project Sebastian Mullaert has been mostly concentrated on recently.
His Minilogue alias is put to rest, while Mullaert is exploring the sound variations with Wa Wu We.
The latest release on Kontra-Music is a two-track collectible. The non-dancefloor release perfectly sums up Mullaert’s talent to extracting perfect forms from the sounds he hears is his imagination.
The title track is raw, fluffy, but strong and invasive techno, covered with foggy noise, which makes is haunting and suspicious.
The long intro of the track promises a whole story told in 12 minutes, which is how long the track is. Everything goes it’s way – the hi-hats come out of the fog like a train that passes somewhere over an empty autumn field. Where the travelers are going? Listen to find out, there’s a beautiful melodic answer to this question.

The second track “WE Float” will take you to lay on the soundwaves looking into your mind. It is a beatless ambient melody, which could and will suit any meditative process.
