Techno was created and developed far away from the mainstream. The underground sound got its deserved popularity in the past few years but there is a lot of movement in sound with sub-genres and a lot of talent you may not hear about.
We believe underground producers and labels deserve special recognition, so we will be dedicating our new feature series to this cause.
This week we will have a look into French underground scene and a representative of the new generation of DJs, Martin Lermurier.
Emerging DJ from France, Martin is better known under his aliases Trym aka Sparkling Water Boy. He cuts the boundaries between HardDance and HardTrance. Owner of the label ‘COLOR’, he released three vinyls up until now, completely mirroring his personality – driven, powerful and polychronic.
Being weariless starts to become a regular tendency is Trym’s life, performing around Europe and spending an everlasting amount of time behinds his decks practicing and creating. His understanding of DJing allow him to offer intense shows in the mains clubs and festivals worldwide, where he mixes Techno, Fast Techno, Hard House, Hard Dance and Early Hardstyle with a remarkable ease. As a new-generation techno artist who has proven himself to deserve his place on the scene and behind the decks at events, this got him a residency at the infamous Possession events.
Compulsive producer, he released over the course of the past 2 years not less than 15 tracks on imprints such as Exhale, Involve, Possession and his own COLOR.
His biggest challenge remains to induce emotion at every single gig, and tell his story, which has only just begun.
