Timothy Leary’s “The Psychedelic Experience” will be reissued on vinyl to celebrate it’s 50th anniversary.
The original release from 1966, which accompanied the 1964 Timothy Leary, Ralph Metzner and Richard Alpert’s book of the same name, The Psychedelic Experience, will be reissued on vinyl in November. The record features readings from the book by the authors themselves over two tracks – “Going Out” and “Coming Back”.
“The Psychedelic Experience” is a guide to a trip, based on the “Tibetan Book of the Dead”.
Timothy Leary’s LSD Manifesto Vinyl Reissue:
Timothy Leary was an American Psychologist, who became famous and is still loved by many as an advocate for the therapeutic potential of psychedelic drugs under controlled conditions.
Some still call him the crazy drug addict, some percept him as a scientist, who’s researches are highly underestimated.
Timothy Leary died of cancer in 1996, aged 75. The famous actress Susan Sarandon took his ashes to the Burning Man 2015 : “We diluted them for a toast at the end of the day,” she explained.
