Christian Smith is one of the world’s leading exponents of techno, both as a DJ and producer he is always bold and innovative. With his output in recent years, it is hard to imagine a list of prolific producers without his name towards the top. Following the release of his EP Christian shared this exclusive new mix for Techno Station in which he presents some of the label’s outstanding tracks including his new track ‘Accelerate’. Drumcode is more than a label, it’s a movement.
Founded by Adam Beyer, it stands as the highest-selling and most influential imprint in techno and it gathers some of the most talented producers. One of the first stewards of Drumcode known for his peak time techno tracks is Jay Lumen. Hungarian techno DJ and Footwork Records boss has recently appeared at Drumcode’s Cruisin Boat Party. Lumen’s sunset set features some of the most recognizable techno tunes, as well as his brand new release.
Ellen Fraatz, known as Ellen Allien, has been around the electronic music scene for more than 20 years. This signature artist is known for her vast knowledge and for showcasing the underground sound. She makes a proper showcase of Berlin’s techno taste in her sets and Ellen’s latest ARTE Concert mix is an homage to the proper techno.
One of the highlights of the mixes is the fresh masterclass set of Ben Sims. One of the significant names of UK underground scene doesn’t record sets that often, so consider this one a special treat. Check Ben’s impeccable music taste in his recent set at Glitch Festival.
Eitan Reiter is one of the more prolific and diverse electronic musicians and producers we encountered. Reiter is known for his analog equipment and for a very minimal and respectful way he makes hypnotic techno with extra analog electronic touches. The outcome of his set is always very hypnotic, just as his set from Boom Festival.
