With every release, Sunora continues to carve out a space where emotion, groove, and escapism meet. Blending elements of indie dance, melodic house, and sun-soaked rhythms, the duo has quickly built a reputation for creating music that feels tailor-made for sunsets, open-air gatherings, and unforgettable moments. Through their growing catalog and the launch of their own imprint, SUNCTURE, they are building more than a sound—they are cultivating a community centered around positivity, connection, and shared experiences. Following standout releases such as Sunset to Sunrise with Kapir and the upcoming Disco Voices alongside FunkT!de, we caught up with Sunora to discuss their vision, creative inspirations, and the journey behind one of electronic music’s most uplifting emerging projects.
Sunora is still a relatively new project, but you’ve already launched your own label and established a distinctive musical identity. What was the original vision behind Sunora when you first came together?
Sunora was born from a shared desire to create music that feels like sunlight. Both of us had been exploring different corners of electronic music for years, but we felt there was space for something more uplifting, emotional, and human. The vision was never to follow trends or fit into a specific genre. We wanted to create a soundtrack for beautiful moments — sunsets, travel, connection, freedom, and celebration. From the very beginning, Sunora was about capturing a feeling rather than chasing a sound.
A lot of your music feels connected to a particular atmosphere, from sunsets and open-air gatherings to travel and nature. How much do the places around you influence the records you create?
Massively. We believe music absorbs the energy of the environments in which it is created. Many of our ideas come while travelling, watching a sunset over the ocean, walking through a new city, or playing an unforgettable open-air event. Nature, architecture, people, and culture all leave their fingerprints on the music. We often say that Sunora records are postcards from places we’ve experienced and moments we’ve lived.
Earlier this year you launched SUNCTURE. What inspired you to start your own imprint, and what kind of sound and community are you hoping to build around the label?
SUNCTURE was a natural evolution of the vision behind Sunora. We wanted a home for music that shares the same values: warmth, groove, emotion, and optimism. Beyond being a label, SUNCTURE is a creative platform built around daytime experiences, meaningful human connections, and unforgettable musical moments. We want to support artists who create music with soul and build a community that values authenticity and quality experiences over hype. For us, it’s about creating a world people want to belong to.
Your productions sit somewhere between indie dance, melodic dance and groove-led house music, but they always feel connected by emotion and warmth. Do you think about genres when you’re in the studio, or is it more about chasing a feeling?
Definitely the feeling. Genres can be useful for describing music, but they don’t inspire us creatively. When we’re in the studio, we ask ourselves simple questions: Does this make us feel something? Does it create movement? Does it tell a story? If the answer is yes, we’re on the right path. That’s why our music can move between indie dance, melodic influences, and house grooves while still sounding unmistakably like Sunora.

You’ve received support from respected names such as Lee Burridge and recently collaborated with him on Bianco Montana. What have been some of the most important moments in your journey so far, and how have they shaped your outlook as artists?
Collaborating with Lee Burridge was definitely a special milestone. Lee has always represented authenticity and artistic integrity, so working together felt very natural. Beyond that, every moment where we see people genuinely connecting with our music feels important — whether it’s hearing our tracks played on a major stage, receiving support from artists we admire, or watching a crowd react to a song for the very first time. These experiences remind us that music is ultimately about connection, not numbers.
Recent releases such as Sunset to Sunrise with Kapir and your upcoming Disco Voices with FunkT!de showcase different sides of your sound. What can listeners learn about Sunora through these collaborations?
Collaboration is one of the most exciting parts of music because it allows different creative worlds to meet. With Kapir, we explored a more cinematic and introspective side of Sunora. With FunkT!de, we leaned into groove, energy, and playful disco influences. What ties everything together is the spirit behind the music. No matter who we work with, listeners will always hear warmth, positivity, movement, and emotional depth at the heart of the record.
As both Sunora and SUNCTURE continue to grow, what would you like people to associate with the project a few years from now?
We hope people associate Sunora and SUNCTURE with unforgettable moments and genuine human connection. Not just songs or events, but experiences. We want people to hear a Sunora track or attend a SUNCTURE gathering and instantly feel inspired, connected, and alive. If, a few years from now, people see the project as a symbol of positivity, beautiful music, meaningful community, and a new way of experiencing electronic culture, we’ll feel we’ve achieved something special.
