Some Berlin clubs are set to reopen amid the coronavirus pandemic – but with strict ‘no dancing’ rules.
As media reports, Sisyphos, Birgit & Bier, and Rummels Bay will be opening their outdoor spaces as beer gardens serving food and drinks. While there will still be music, dancing will be banned.
Berlin’s celebrated club scene has suffered from the lockdown, with venues weighing up how they can reopen safely, if at all. Providing food and drink may be a way to maintain an income until they can safely restart operations.
Other safety measures will be put in place, too, such as only operating table service, and requiring customers and staff to wear face masks.
