Robert Hood returns with minimal techno EP ‘Alpha Key’
Robert Hood shared EP, ‘Alpha Keys’ — which is released both digitally and on vinyl via Hood’s imprint M-Plant.
The four-track EP marks the Detroit pioneer’s first solo release under the Robert Hood moniker since 2022 single ‘Hectic / Amazon Dust’.
The new record will consist of “characteristically Hood Music,” according to a statement around the release.
‘Alpha Keys’ follows Robert Hood’s collaborative release in 2023 with Femi Kuti, ‘Variations’ — a 30-minute EP spanning 7 tracks, is a live recording between the collaborators during a performance in Paris, in November 2019.
