In the wake of the sad news earlier this year that lead singer of Prodigy had died, Glastonbury Festival has announced plans to honour the frontman at their mercurial Shangri-La stage.
The festival announced, as part of revealing the line-up for this year’s Shangri-La stage, that there will be a special tribute DJ performance in honour of the late singer. The ‘Keith Flint Appreciation Hour’ is destined to be chok-full of Prodigy classics as well as more that speaks to Flint’s love affair with Rave culture.
With so many fans saddened by his loss in early March, tributes and outpourings of emotion have been almost continuous since the news of his suicide. Thousands of fans lined the streets for his funeral while a petition was raised to have a statue of the singer built in his hometown of Braintree, Essex.
We’re hoping this hour of appreciation will give fans a place to further celebrate the life and times of Keith Flint.
