Your essentials on tour

Your main childhood memory
Perfect childhood with no responsibilities. Could repeat that again. Best memories are from the trips we used to travel together with parents and brother. I guess that is the reason I love traveling so much.
Your shortest dj set
Oh that was a long time ago. It was like two tracks long. I didn’t fit the party or the party didn’t fit me. I was the only underground DJ in the line up, while the event was some hit parade. I’m not even sure why did the event organizer book me back then.
Which song/track did you hear first today?
On my way to studio I’m always listening to the stuff I’m working at the moment. So this morning on my way to studio it was a bangy Techno unfinished composition with no name yet.
Next city you’re playing at
The city I live in – Vilnius. This Saturday I’m having a release presentation party where I’m going to premiere my debut release to my friends and Lithuanian underground music enthusiasts. Peronas – so called bar where the party is taking place is a cozy venue always packed with beautiful people. We’re going to have a cozy but full of energy party there.Really looking forward to it.
Did your parents ever come to your gigs?
They come sometimes, on special occasions. And of course when the gig takes place in Kaunas, where they live.
Who would you dress up as for Halloween?
I’m not that kind of guy who dresses up some special outfit for Halloween. I’d rather party hard for the moment.
Your guilty pleasure in food
It’s sugar. They say if you want to be sweet you have to have a lot of sugar in your blood.
Your guilty pleasure in music
It’s deep dark intelligent Acid Techno that always grabs my attention, makes me wanna move and frees my soul. Loving that feeling since 1993.
Tell us about your coming project
Phun Thomas goes deeply into underground House and Techno genres or/and mixing it with a wide variety of other electronic and non-electronic genres. I’m working hard on my debut album which I hope to launch in 2017. I am also playing live performances as well as DJing, but in the next year it will become an audio-visual live performance. Most of my creative time I spend on production and establishing my live performance. A lot of good stuff is yet to come so stay tuned.

Runemark Records is a top notch records label that every producer would love to be released on. It’s been established and curated by Ten Walls who’s known for his high standards towards himself and also everyone else. And the fact that I launch my career in his label makes me feel highly evaluated as a creator and producer.
