Pig&Dan return to their label with a stunning 3-track EP of thunderous warehouse delights. Find out more here.
Since inception in 2012, Elevate has been the foundation of everything Pig&Dan do. ‘We are at a good point as artists, and I think it’s time to try to push a new sound.’ Dan told DJ Mag US one-time, fast forward 8 years and their world looks much different. Pig&Dan have captivated the scene with their chunky, sonically pleasing sound, fulfilling their long-held belief in consistency and making the label and themselves utterly indispensable. Opening the landmark 150th release on the label with title track ‘Existence’ we are quickly into full flow with huge warehouse kicks and an eerie bass drone complimenting the crunchy percussion.
Melodics take over and add tension into the first drop. By then, it’s game over and the ride takes you along regardless. ‘Back To Graceland’ takes it one step further. Industrial drums juxtapose the angelic pads and metronomic stabs and thunder in the dark, reminding us of nightclub dreams of times before. Finally, ‘Super Trip’ ties up the trio with a rhythmic, percussive roller that creeps into the edges of your mind. Hypnotic melodies lead the way overpowering the senses and becoming oddly claustrophobic and warming instantaneously.
