Nur Jaber is releasing new EP on her OSF imprint.
STAUB resident’s very own creative platform is in a way a place for presenting not only uncompromising music, but also to print poems, letters and in the case of this record; even direct a video.
Based in Berlin, the young producer who was born in Beirut remains very attached to her roots. This background partially explains why she can be inspired by tragic events happening regularly in the Middle East – making brave statements in the mostly apolitical electronic music environment. This EP showcases Nur’s ability to create and combine daunting atmospherics.
It is dark, and with the vocals and screams, Weapons Of Mass Destruction is meant for breaking down the dance floors. Release is also personal and almost cathartic, especially in the current political situation surrounding all of us.
”This is a tribute to the politicians of the world.
The power hungry.
The pigs of war.
They play us like chess.
Brain washing our minds.
Polluting our lungs.
Controlling us like puppets.
Hiding behind closed doors.
As we fight their battles.
What is next?”
Weapons Of Mass Destruction EP is a three-tracker and its out on August 31st, 2017.
