Brazil is famous for it’s export – coffee and football players. And beautiful women. Anna is one beautiful woman, who is taking the techno scene by storm.
Born in raised in Brazil, she has been exploring the music and club world since childhood, as her father owned a few clubs. When she discovered techno, it was a huge scene in Sao Paulo and the music charmed her, leading to “A certain quality of a sound which makes it techno”.
Being hypnotized by techno, Anna started playing with instruments and eventually landed a remix of a famous EDM hit “Haute Mess” by Nervo, which was released on Ultra Records.
Having started touring, Anna found herself in a wonderful place, where thousands of people follow her musical lead. Touring the world wasn’t that simple while living in Brazil, so eventually she moved do Barcelona, which helped her a lot in many senses.
Anna’s talent has been noticed by many scene professionals, like Carl Cox, who invited her to play at his “Music is Revolution” series at Space Ibiza. Tiga’s label “Twin Turbo Records” has released her EP in 2015. The melodic techno three-track is an example of Anna’s stubbornness and at the same time, of her respect to the labels she works with.
She used to DJ in Brazil and it made her angry that the promoters wanted her to play something they saw was better for a party. She always stayed loyal to her sound and that brought her luck in the end.
“Now, I just sit in the studio and enjoy myself,” says ANNA. “I always say that you have to make the kind of music you love—I just do my thing and send to the labels.”
