Some tracks are designed for the dancefloor. Others build entire worlds around it. Machine firmly belongs in the latter category.

The collaboration between Joris Voorn, Roddy Lima and Taylr Renee feels cinematic in scope, combining sleek production with an almost sci-fi sense of atmosphere.

From the opening moments, the groove locks into place through a muscular low end and tightly engineered percussion. Roddy Lima’s influence is immediately apparent in the track’s driving momentum and carefully sculpted synth work, while Joris Voorn’s trademark attention to detail gives the arrangement its fluidity and precision.

The defining element, however, is Taylr Renee’s vocal contribution. Floating above the machinery beneath, her performance transforms the record from a functional club tool into something far more immersive. Her lyrics and delivery introduce a narrative dimension that perfectly complements the production’s futuristic aesthetic.

The artist’s description of an interplanetary rave populated by hypnotised dancers feels remarkably accurate once the track unfolds. The production balances darkness with melody, creating an atmosphere that feels equally suited to peak-time club moments and more introspective listening environments.

What makes Machine particularly effective is the way its individual components operate as one system. The synths push forward relentlessly, the rhythm section drives with mechanical precision, and the vocals provide the human element that gives the record its emotional core.

For SPECTRUM release number SPCTRM090, the trio deliver a record that lives up to its title: meticulously engineered, endlessly moving and impossible to resist once it locks into motion. Machine is futuristic club music with genuine character.
