With a growing catalogue of peak-time techno weapons, support from some of the biggest names in electronic music, and an ever-expanding vision through her own TMPL Music imprint, ADRIANA continues to build momentum both in the studio and behind the scenes. From releases championed by Charlotte de Witte, Adam Beyer, Carl Cox and Amelie Lens to launching her own label, radio show and event series, she’s steadily carving out an identity that balances powerful club functionality with genuine musicality.

Fresh from releasing Infinity on TMPL Music and Mars via Music4Aliens, we caught up with ADRIANNA to discuss her creative process, the stories behind her latest productions, what it means to receive support from techno’s biggest tastemakers, and what’s still to come as another busy festival season unfolds.

Walk us through your process in the studio,  where does a track usually start for you?

Sometimes it starts with a vocal idea or a melody, I’ve been working more with hardware synths and spending time at my piano building ideas from there. Sometimes it still starts with the format I was taught in school. Nice kick and bass, build the groove and go from there.

Charlotte de Witte, Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, and Nicole Moudaber have all played your records — what’s it meant to have that level of support behind your music?

It means a lot, it feels good every time to see something that started in my studio or in a writing camp somewhere reach millions of people and make it to the other side of the world.

Is there a track in your catalogue you feel most defines you as an artist right now or makes you really proud?

Return is a personal track for me, as is Breaking Me Open. Having support from Carl Cox and Amelie Lens on those tracks was great. I think when the idea comes from a place that may be more abstract and you feel like someone with such an experienced ear gets it or is open to trying it, that it means a lot.

You have recently released ‘Infinity’ on your TMPL label, what is the story behind It and how are you satisfied with the feedback so far?

I’m happy with how the track turned out. I love playing it out and how the response is on the floor. It’s a feel-good track with all the elements that bring energy; a great vocal, nice acid line and big sub bass. Having Lily Palmer’s support on multiple occasions feels great too.

What made you decide it was time to start your own label, TMPL Music?

I’d released music in the past but having the label, where I could curate and build something feels special. I’ve been doing my Radio Show for 6 years and hosting events for about 3 now and with the releases, these are all great ways to network with other DJs and producers and lovers of electronic music.

As both an artist and a label founder, how do you balance the creative and business sides of what you do?

I have a great team of people around me. I naturally lean more towards the creative side and have worked very hard to develop the more logical critical-thinking side of my brain, that is required in business. Having the right people around for everything from artwork to contracts is crucial It takes a lot moving parts to operate in a way that is professional and we are always trying to refine the brand experience with integrity.

You have recently released a debut single ‘mars’ via Music4Aliens, what more can you tell us about this peaktime weapon?

This is a fun track, I’ve been working on a more serious project in the background, so it’s been nice to do a few tracks that are not. I got the vocal from a very talented UK artist named Anti Calm. He’s got such a great flow and has worked with so many top producers. I felt Music4Aliens was the perfect place to release Mars.

Any festival or club moment from the past year that’s stuck with you?

Every event holds a special moment for a different reason, but I think a couple that stand out was playing We Love Festival in Spain. It was my second time there and I love the energy of the people there. Also, at Hangar 33 in Uruguay. Such an iconic venue and incredible crowd.

What more can we expect from you this summer?

I’m really excited for my next release ‘Outta Control’ coming out on Terminal M “Bangers”. It’s amazing to release with them again among 3 other producers I really admire. I’m also really looking forward to playing Circle of Leaves festival in Germany. The lineup is so great, and I’m booked to play some countries I’ve never played or visited yet, so that’s always a lot of fun to discover another culture.
