Ibiza’s club pilot event will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel on Friday 25th June, it has been confirmed.
The venue’s flagship party, Children of the 80s, will welcome 2000 of the island’s key workers for a session aimed at testing COVID-19 protocols within nightlife and music settings ahead of clubs being allowed to return en masse.
The Hard Rock Hotel pilot, announced last week, will be free to attend, but everyone in the crowd has to adhere to strict rules for entry, as DJ mag writes.
Proof of at least one dose of vaccination, presence of COVID-19 antibodies or a negative PCR test result must be shown on arrival, or revellers won’t be allowed inside. Ticket holders will be tested two weeks after the event, with results analysed to ascertain whether the date contributed to an increase in coronavirus transmission and infections. If the trial is successful, it is hoped venues could be back in action my mid-July.
