Franz Ferdinand have shared a pair of remix bundles of Always Ascending, the title track from their much-acclaimed fifth album which was released on Domino in February of this year.

Available from 12th July, the first package includes remixes from Cassius and Prins Thomas and a Nina Kraviz House mix. The second, titled Nina Kraviz v Franz Ferdinand, features the Nina Kraviz Techno Mix and the Nina Kraviz Late Night Remix.

For the ‘House Remix’, Nina creates an escalating swirl of shuffling percussion and funked up bass full of cathartic vocal stabs – a nod to 90s house, but altogether much weirder.

For the second bundle entitled Nina Kraviz v Franz Ferdinand, Nina presents two disorienting doses of bumping techno. ‘Always Ascending (Late Night Remix)’ is a stripped back roller full of murky vocals and glistening computer glitches, whilst the ‘Techno Remix’ spirals through a dark warehouse punctuated by unnerving fragments of speech from Nina.
