Gabry Ponte collaborates with AVAO on a thundering hard-techno single “Fuera” that’s out on his record label PENTAPHONIA Records.
PENTAPHONIA Records is a record label that Gabry Ponte has used to release his driving techno productions, and the new release combines hammering percussion with commanding vocals and fierce synths.
Hailing from Italy, many know Gabry Ponte for his big room tracks on labels like Spinnin’ Records, Armada and Ministry of Sound, but he has produced underground techno with artists such as Sisko Electrofanatik and T78. He is also a founding member of the ’90s band Eiffel 65, who are known for their European smash hit single “Blue (Da Ba Dee).”
AVAO are a Dutch duo who are working with Gabry Ponte for the first time. Alongside their many successful solo tracks, AVAO have previously collaborated with the likes of Hardwell, and released on labels ranging from Revealed Recordings to Armada. This pummelling techno track shows off the harder side of their sound with industrial drums creating explosive energy.
“Fuera” is the solo track on this release, and it’s a ferocious slice of peak time techno with aggressive vocals, distorted synth stabs and gritty percussion. It’s an intense track in a style similar to others such as Sara Landry, I Hate Models and Klangkuenstler.
