Promoters of the Kendal Calling festival in the UK are allowing festival-goers to test the purity of their drugs.
Cocaine and ecstasy users have been promised they will not be arrested if they take their drugs to the on-site festival lab run by the charity The Loop.
The service is this weekend and the promoters claim to have found crushed up malaria medication, insecticide and concrete in the pills tested.
Their action come under fire for promoting drug use, but festival organisers say that ‘their focus is on public health rather than on criminal justice’.
One attendee said to Metro that there were some bad and some good reports about the pills, and six more festivals in the UK announced similar test lab on-site.
