Fashion always rolls in circles and celebrates a comeback. Every year, if not every season, there is a style comeback.
90’s have had a serious influence on the generation that now runs the world of everything interesting, and fashion of course.
The 90’s club culture swallowed millions of young people all over the world, and some of us are now experiencing a little flashback to the style we used to embrace when we were teens
Contemporary designers have been getting inspiration from the 90’s and this year has seen some of them becoming the new phenomena of the fashion world. Gosha Rubchinsky, hailing from Russia, has been around for a few years, but never he has been as popular as he is now, with his savage approach to straightforward 90’s street style, which used to be a uniform for every post-Soviet kid or English football fan. Eastern Europe with all the special orphan-chic is all over Rubchinsky’s collections.
Now we have The Vetements – a relatively young group of designers from Georgia, who are based in Paris, and they’ve exploded the fashion community with their aesthetic.
If you follow street style blogs, you will see every “someone” from the industry wearing their deconstructed jeans.
A Dutch fashion designer Tom Nijhuis went all the way and created a collection inspired by Hardcore. Which is only logic, as Holland was the main hardcore and gabber country.
