Gerald Donald is the mysterious half of Drexciya. Or is he? As he said once in an interview, he is not going to confirm his involvement into any project and will “…leave this question open to observer interpretation”. Being as silent about himself as he is, Gerald Donald is known for being the half of Dopplereffect – another highly intellectual musical project, and for having few more aliases, one of which is Der Zyklus. That’s the alias we are expecting to give us new musical food for brains soon, as Gerald Donald promised to release the new album, called Renormalon “Somewhere in 2016” on WéMè record label.
Part of the album is a collaboration with Minsk-based artist Elena Sizova. We don’t know who she is, but a little research shows that she has a Soundcloud account with a few smart DJ sets.
We are anticipating “Somewhere in 2016” to finally listen to the album, which will be the first by Der Zyklus after the 2004’s “Biometry”.
