Beware Of Ninja, the company behind the Berghain-inspired card game Bergnein, has been ordered to pay €15,000 in damages to bouncer Sven Marquardt, as RA reports.
Previously known as Berghain Ze Game, Bergnein is a card game in which players play the role of a bouncer at the famous club.
Marquardt successfully sued Beware Of Ninja for damages, with the ruling handed down by Sweden’s Gothenburg District Court. The company must also pay court costs and destroy all copies of the game.
“Satire is dead in Sweden,” Alexander Kandiloros, the game’s creator, told Sweden’s Musikguiden radio show, labelling the ruling “absurd.”
