Alessio Mereu grew up in Sardinia and has been fond of music since he was a child, which is common among the people, who make their way to the big labels.
Alessio started producing and at some point saw his releases coming out on Cocoon, Tuning Spork, Poker Flat and other labels. The success of his productions led to worldwide bookings.
Amam has been founded in 2010 and became his personal playground. This time, the kids he invited to play with him were the most popular kids in the hood – Jay Haze, Shaun Reeves, Ilario Alicante, Dan Curtin, Mikael Stavostrand, Todd Bodine, Acumen, Timid Boy and many more. The label’s productions regularly lay on the decks of such grand masters as Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Paco Osuna, Laurent Garnier and many many more.
The Amam recordings releases vary in musical sub genres, being rooted in techno and it’s minimalist side; and there’s no place for jokes – Alessio Mereu’s playground is one of the best musically and design-wise young imprints there are.
