Iranian/Australian emerging talent Naz drops her latest release, the atmospheric otherworldly techno cut ‘Face Off’, out January 21st. The track drops on IN/ROTATION’s ROTATE Vol.14 compilation, alongside tracks from Matt Faulk, Fenik, Dances, Relova a.m.m.
With soaring atmospheric synths and an otherworldly 00’s trance-inspired breakdown, contrasting with a glorious driving bassline, ominous enough for the best main room techno sets, ‘Face Off’ delivers at maximum power.
In no time Naz has made an indelible mark on the global stage, with sets including Brooklyn Mirage, Drumsheds, The Gorge, Piknic Electronik, Creamfields, and playing alongside Tale Of Us, CamelPhat, Above & Beyond, Qrion… Her multimedia fantasy-themed imprint New Eden Records goes from strength to strength, with the next single (and book chapter and video element) coming in March.
‘I wanted something with a little bit more grit and drive than my usual sound, something that would work well on a dance floor that had a groove and a drop that could blow your grandma’s dentures out’ Naz says. ‘Something I could play in the car when driving that would make me feel like I’m on a mission in GTA. And lastly, something that my dog would approve and be proud of.’
