Sao Paulo-born, Lisbon-based electronic music artist Wehbba announces the launch of HIFN, a multi-art platform that aims to transcend the traditional relationship between music and literature. With a passion for diverse artistic expressions, Wehbba aims to foster a sense of freedom and individual interpretation through innovative approaches to writing, composing, and performing within each release.
HIFN launches with two new Wehbba tracks. Both crafted within the isolation of touring. Both inspired by current and opposing industry evolutions. Wehbba says – “I felt compelled ot capture my current tastes and vibes in real-time. So, immediately after my gigs, i would delve into developing ideas on my trusty laptop.”
’Nitro’ embodies the velocity of change, both in the techno realm and our global landscape. “With Nitro, I integrated glitch elements within its arrangement. These reflect the chaos of when everything is moving so fast,” Wehbba highlights.
‘Frozen’ carries a poignant message in its lyric, “sometime it feels like we’re all frozen,” and a chilling and dark melody. The track reflects the struggle of navigating through stagnant periods or chaotic periods, where progress seems elusive.
The third and final track, ’Nitro Wordscape’, is a soundtrack constructed from elements of both Nitro and Frozen, and features a poem that is recited by an AI that was trained to emulate Wehbba’s own voice. Each future release will feature its own ‘wordscape’, with the lyrics performed in a variety of ways, to further associate it with the music a to explore different ways to connect music and words.
