Reinier Zonneveld has set a new Guinness World Record for longest solo live electronic music set.
The Dutch technical DJ took to the stage at the first Karren Maar festival in Arnhem, Netherlands, on August 5, where he played continuously for 11 hours and 11 minutes to break the record (previously 11 hours).
Zonneveld started playing at 12:49 hours and completed exactly at midnight that night, with a representative of the Guinness World Records present to certify the feat.
Zonneveld said: “Karren Maar festival was an extraordinary journey of sound and connection. Playing for 11 hours and 11 minutes allowed me to deep dive into the essence of my music, exploring uncharted territories of emotion and energy. It was a humbling experience to witness the support and energy from the crowd, creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
