Tommy Four Seven’s 47 imprint presents the next release on the label by rising Berlin based DJ/producer Quelza who has been crafting a name for himself as a highly sought after name on the international club circuit.
French- Berlin based artist Quelza, otherwise known as Léo Naïtaïssa, has cultivated with just 24 years a sophisticated thread of organic techno music completely his own, through cinematic production work and masterful sound design. After a string of releases on Hayes, a recent debut album on Mord followed by his appearance on Oake’s remix album for his seminal track ‘Paysage Dépaysé previously released on Stroboscopic Artefacts’, ‘47030’ is a futuristic and often melancholic tale that utilises relentless breakbeats with choral sound art, the five tracks a enthralling mirror of Quelza’s work so far.
In addition to his production work, his spectrally crafted and unorthodox DJ sets can often be heard throughout the underground circuit regularly in clubs like Fabric, Reaktor, KHIDI, Club Basis in Utrecht and Tresor where he shared the booth with artist such as Adriana Lopez, Ben Sims, Hyperactivist. Viscerale, DVS1, Oscar Mulero, Viscerale to name a few, and shortly across the pond to LA, where he will play at Dirty Epic’s ten year anniversary alongside Herrensauna resident SPFDJ, Etapp Kyle and more.
