SCI+TEC label boss Dubfire has set a new record for the longest solo performance ever. His 26 hour and 30 minute set took place at the 24th edition, an event notorious for endurance sessions.
Joseph Capriati played a 25 hours long set, and Marco Carola also hold the record for 24 hours, now Dubfire broke the record at Sunwaves festival.
Reportedly, Sven Vath is said to played over 30 hours long set, while a Nigerian DJ Obi completed a 240-hour marathon on the decks at a Lagos cafe. Obi’s set began on 22 June and continued until 11.30pm on 2 July.
Some of the honorable mentions include 200 hours set in Dublin by a Polish DJ called Norbert Selmaj in November 2014, DJ Norberto Loco was reportedly playing for 8 days, Smokin’ Joe played for 168 hours in 2012, while DJ Hertz played 152 hours in the same year.
When it comes to b2b sets, records on 31 hour was made by tINI and Bill Patrick.
