Sunday morning was a black morning for 50 families and hundreds of people who lost their loved ones in an outrageous shooting in a night club in Orlando, Florida.
Pulse is an LGBT club, which was a home for people of all ages and heritages. Early in the morning, a man entered the club with a gun and an assault rifle and shot disorderly into the crowd.
The club management posted on Facebook: “Everyone get out of pulse and keep running.”
A witness wrote:”I was there. The shooter opened fire at around 2 AM. People on the dance floor and bar got down on the floor and some of us who were near the bar and back exit managed to go out through the outdoor area and just ran. I am safely home and hoping everyone gets home safely as well.”
The shooter – a 29-year old Florida resident by the name of Omar Mateen, called 911 during the attack and claimed it was for ISIS. He took about 30 hostages and the standout was on for around three hours, before the police crashed into the building and shot the terrorist.
This was the deadliest attack in the USA since 9/11.
